Green Bay Trip

While we were in Wisconsin, my parents were wonderful enough to watch Kepler for the night while Jeremie and I took a little overnight vacation from our vacation.  We went to Green Bay to check out a couple restaurants visited by Man V. Food and to check out (what my brother calls "The Holy Land") Lambeau Field.  It was incredible - such an awesome place.

Jeremie's parents bought him a larger gnome (we had a tiny 3 inch gnome you couldn't see in pictures) to take with us on our journies.  He loves going on vacation!

      

We had dinner at "Curly's Pub" that's in the atrium of the field the night we got there.  Jeremie even "borrowed" a glass as a souvenier.  

We wanted to get a picture of us - in our Green Bay gear, in front of a Lambeau Field sign, with our traveling gnome.  Mission accomplished.

Finally.  At almost 16 months (yes - 16), our sweet little boy is finally walking.  Although, I was doing quite well having just a crawler on my hands (he was a super fast crawler - and it was already hard to keep up with him sometimes), having a walker will be fun.

Peek a boo Pose

For all of you who don't care - I found out this "pose" he love to do is not in fact so he can look behind him - it's so you "can't see him".  He LOVES when you ask where Kepler is - and gets a huge smile when he sits up and looks at you the - "HERE I AM" look.  What a silly silly boy!

Playing Outside

Kepler, Joe and I all had a fun evening playing outside.  I went to let Joe inside the house, and Kepler darted for the door to go outside.  It's nice that he loves being outside - but I'm afraid we might have a few bugs.  At least any bites he gets don't seem to bother him.  I found the only way to get him to come inside without him getting too upset is to tell him to go take a bath.  There's NOTHING he loves more than baths

Petting "Zoo"

So our kindermusik teacher was telling us about this "petting zoo" the town was having during it's annual Art in the Square.  So we went - I was looking forward to it because Kepler LOVES animals.  Well we went.  And it was snakes.  Yup.  SNAKES.  Mommy doesn't DO snakes.  Good thing Dad does - or else Kepler wouldn't have gotten anywhere CLOSE to those snakes.

Kepler's new "crawl"

We were playing outside last night, and Kepler was trying to crawl around on the concrete outside the back door.  I kept trying to get him to go to the grass, but I guess he wasn't that interested.  The concrete probably started hurting his knees and feet - so he came up with this mode of transportation instead.

Wedding Weekend in Utah

We went to a wonderful wedding in Utah this weekend (Congrats David & Heidi).  A friend of ours (thanks JB) took this amazing picture of the boys!  Can't stop looking at it - it's perfect!

Great Grandparents

When we were in Tucson Kepler had the opportunity to meet one of his great grandmothers he had never met.  She absolutely LOVED having him there!

Kepler has been able to spend some time with his other great grandparents, getting to stay with them when we visited Peoria, seeing them in Texas at Christmas, and again in Tucson.  

Kepler & the Giraffe

While we were in Tucson we visited the Reid Zoo, and Kepler was able to feed the giraffes.  It was awesome he got to do that - even cooler that he LOVED it.  We really do have an animal lover on our hands!

Fun Noises with Kepler

Jeremie can get Kepler to make some super funny noises by moving his bottom lip and jaw.  We were visiting family in Tucson, and I think this is my FAVORITE video of them doing this.  

Eating Yogurt

So my parents came over for dinner and my dad wanted to be the "good guy" of the meal, because I was being "mean" making Kepler eat dinner.  So I let him give Kepler some yogurt - and he LOVED it.  Half way through I figured it was a good moment to capture Kepler's laugh.

Fetch

When Jeremie gets home after working basketball games, he usually has a short amount of time to play with Kepler.  Of course when he plays with Kepler, Joe feels left out so Jeremie plays with both.

When we tell Joe to stay, we stick out our hand like you tell someone to stop.  Well, I think Kepler is almost ready to tell Joe to stay on his own.  And tell Jeremie to stay.

Kepler normally sleeps with his stuffed Grinch.  The last couple of days after/during his naps he feels the need to throw his toys out of bed.  Now I don't know if he thinks they'll come and get me, or if he just likes to see them fly.  He went crawling in the direction of his room and came out with his Grinch.  So we assumed he wanted to play.  I guess he wanted to play like Joe.

Birthday Pictures

I decided to get some one year old pictures taken of Kepler without anyone knowing.  I think they came out fabulous.  He LOVED the balloons, and after he tried eating the cake he decided it would be the time to try to bite the balloon and it popped.  At that point he began crying (it scared us too!) so we decided the photo shoot was over.  Anyway, I LOVE the pictures, so I thought I'd share.
